West Brom's Chris Wood extends his stay at Millwall

Millwall today extended Chris Wood’s loan stay until January 1.

The 20-year-old Albion ace has scored seven goals in 12 games, including the winner over Leeds yesterday in the 1-0 Championship victory.

“The club are pleased to confirm that Chris Wood’s loan spell at The Den has been extended until January 1,” a club statement read.

Meanwhile, David Luiz has admitted Chelsea’s players and manager were involved in a furious dressing-room row following the 2-1 defeat at Albion, as the pressure begins to grow on Roberto Di Matteo.

In the last month, the Blues have surrendered their place at the top of the Premier League and will stand on the verge of being dumped out of the Champions League should they lose to Juventus in Turin tomorrow.

Tempers boiled over following the Hawthorns defeat, and Luiz, who has been widely criticised for his performances in recent weeks, admitted words were exchanged between players and staff.

When quizzed on the raised voices coming from the away dressing room, Luiz said: “We were upset, it is normal. We are disappointed as we should have won this game.

“Of course it’s normal. This is a big club and you cannot lose games.”

I think you mean Millwall, not Watford!

Jack ♣ Hat.

I would be reluctant to let him go permanently at this time as they are on about trying to buy him. He hasn't finished blossoming yet so how would we know what to charge. Better still if he is worth a place in our squad.

Steve, Kev r,

What's with this Watford bit ?.

MILLWALL YA MEAN!

1954 baggie

Must keep him he's better than Fortun'e now and

unlike Marco he scores goals!!

The Real Bully Hoo.

1954.

A bit disrespectful to MAF, who hasn't played in the lower leagues but may well be a prolific scorer there as there's more time.. Fortune is an excellent professional and has played more in the wide positions than in the middle, we may be glad to have him in January. I also think that Chris would probably learn a lot more from MAF than he would from Lukaku.

Brierleyhillbsggie

I wouldn't sell him he's only twenty and he seems to score for fun at these clubs I know it's only the dingle league but he knows where the net is if it was me and he was happy with it I would bring him back and get him to train with lukaku so he could see what he should be doin game in game out

Ps great time to be a Baggie

Re: Chris Wood (who's making a massive impact at Millwall)-

apparently, the Millwall Chief Executive has said-

'we won't be held to ransom with loan players, if they're doing well here, then we hold all the aces'.

I've got a feelin' he's never played cards with Jeremy Peace before.........
