Double injury blow for West Brom
Wednesday 23rd November 2011, 12:29PM GMT.
Shane Long and Graham Dorrans today emerged as possible injury doubts for West Brom’s clash with Tottenham – but Paul Scharner hopes to return.
Long limped out of training yesterday with a leg injury while Dorrans is struggling with the ankle problem he suffered against Bolton on Saturday. But Scharner could hand boss Roy Hodgson a timely boost by returning to contention after missing the meetings with Arsenal and Bolton with a knee injury.
Hodgson said: “We have a few injuries but Scharner is making good progress. He is recovering well.”
On Long, he said: “He took a knock so we’re waiting to hear news. We need him to play two or three games on the bounce.”
