Darren Moore backs Zoltan Gera to become the Ryan Giggs of West Brom

Hawthorns hero Darren Moore today backed Zoltan Gera to become the West Brom answer to Ryan Giggs.

Express & Star columnist Moore believes his former team-mate can emulate Manchester United great Giggs, who turns 38 next week but is still performing in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old Hungary international returned for a second spell with the Baggies in the summer and starred in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bolton in his second home ‘debut’.

And Moore said: “Zoltan can go on and play for a long time, similar to what Ryan Giggs is doing at United now, because he is that good as a player.

“I say that because his knowledge and understanding of the game is so good that he doesn’t have to tear around the pitch. He knows where to go to find space and what to do when he has the ball.

“There aren’t too many better. Zoltan can play on for a few years yet, like Ryan Giggs has.”
