West Brom’s Jonas Olsson warns England that Sweden will be stubborn
Tuesday 15th November 2011, 9:30AM GMT.
West Brom defender Jonas Olsson has warned England that his Sweden team will be as stubborn as ever in their Wembley friendly.
Fabio Capello’s men are hoping to follow-up their surprise victory over Spain on Saturday by finally overcoming a Swedish side they have not beaten in their last 12 meetings.
That’s the worst win-less run against any opponents in England’s international history and, although the Swedes were jolted by a 2-0 defeat in Denmark at the weekend, their first visit to the ‘new’ Wembley will be inspiring.
Olsson said: “It’s always something you want to do, play at Wembley. I haven’t played there yet. I’m looking forward to it.
“The strength of the Sweden team is the team, basically. We haven’t lost in 40 years or something and I don’t want to change that.”
