West Brom captain Chris Brunt orders the Baggies to ‘move on’
Friday 11th November 2011, 3:30PM GMT.
West Brom captain Chris Brunt has ordered the Baggies to “move on” from back-to-back defeats as they begin the countdown to their Hawthorns showdown with Bolton.
The winger admitted Roy Hodgson’s men failed to perform while losing their last two games to Liverpool and Arsenal.
But the Northern Ireland international claims the players must now forget about those setbacks and return to the form they showed in their double-derby success against Wolves and Aston Villa.
He said: “It’s been a strange few weeks. We did well against Wolves and Villa but we didn’t do ourselves justice against Liverpool or Arsenal. We’re very disappointed with how we did in those games.
“You can’t really question our commitment or effort against Arsenal but our overall play wasn’t great. We have to forget about it now and move on. We can’t be dwelling on it.”
