Roy Hodgson tells Somen Tchoyi to grab West Brom chance
Thursday 27th October 2011, 11:29AM BST.
Albion boss Roy Hodgson today challenged Somen Tchoyi to become a permanent Premier League hit as the Cameroon star prepares to step in for Shane Long.
Tchoyi is set to partner Peter Odemwingie in attack as summer signing Long begins a spell on the sidelines with a chipped bone in his knee.
And Hodgson believes the absence of Long, which could last for up to six weeks, will give Tchoyi the chance to establish his top-flight credentials.
“There is no doubt in my mind that he’s got the ability, otherwise I wouldn’t select him, so it’s up to him now to make certain that ability shines through and he gives us a good game,” said Hodgson, who is preparing his side to face Liverpool at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
“On Saturday at Aston Villa he went on in difficult circumstances and I think he acquitted himself very well and that’s what he’s got to keep doing.”

what has happend to Dorrans? Why not play a 451 with Dorrans in a five man midfield and Odem up front? I like watching Tchoyi mind and we are winning so..
