West Brom boss vows to find a cure
Friday 30th September 2011, 4:00PM BST.
West Brom left for Sunderland today with boss Roy Hodgson admitting his side are still hunting for their missing momentum.
But the Baggies will run out at the Stadium of Light tomorrow with the head coach still adamant they will bring balance back to their play.
Two clean sheets in their opening six Premier League matches has equalled the Baggies’ tally for the whole of last season.
Yet the loss of their attacking spark has spelled a disappointing opening to Hodgson’s first full campaign at the helm.
And the veteran boss knows they have still to rediscover the form that propelled them to top-flight safety after his arrival in February.
He said: “I believe with the players we have at our club this year – in particular forward players – that we have goals in the team.
“Maybe we haven’t shown that sufficiently well in the first six games but I believe we have goals in us.”
