Chris Brunt makes call at West Brom
Friday 30th September 2011, 1:00PM BST.
West Brom captain Chris Brunt today issued a rallying call and insisted the Baggies can rediscover last season’s form.
The team travelled to Wearside this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Sunderland with Roy Hodgson’s men in the top-flight relegation zone after six games.
They have claimed two clean sheets andscored just three league goals so far but Brunt believes they can recreate the attacking form that spurred them to safety at the end of last season.
He said: “I don’t think it will be a problem. We’re doing a lot of work in training and I’m sure it will all fall into place, hopefully this weekend.
“Last season we were fourth in October and in the bottom three in February. It doesn’t really matter if you’re in the bottom three now as long as you’re not in it towards the end of the season.”
