Zoltan Gera given West Brom date
Wednesday 28th September 2011, 11:00AM BST.
West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera could make his long-awaited comeback in the Black Country derby on October 16.
Baggies boss Roy Hodgson hopes the Hungary international will be fit to return from an ankle injury, after the international break that follows Saturday’s trip to Sunderland.
And that could mean Gera kicking off his second spell as a West Brom player in the Hawthorns showdown with Wolves.
The 32-year-old hopes to return to full training next week, after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation from summer ankle surgery.
Hodgson said: “He hasn’t trained now for well over three weeks since he had the recurrence of the ankle injury in training.
“He was making good progress but he had a recurrence of his injury and, since then, it must have been a good two to two-and-a-half weeks since he trained.
“He can’t go straight into a game. We will have to wait for the international break and I’m pretty confident that, come the end of the international break, he will be raring to go.”

Remember him getting us three points at the Custard Bowl. When we beat the Dingles four times in one unforgettable season. Get him on the wide right. “Gera Gera, wolves will fear ya”.

That’s quite good!
Personally I’d stick to an adaption of the middle line:
What out Wolves, he’ll chew you up
But apart from that, I’m in.

4) So left side of our defence is a weakness? Wardy has played against much better players, wide right this season and has excelled eg N’Zogbia, Downing. We have potentially Zubur back for the derby and I reckon that either managers would be mad to throw someone back in with no match time under their belt!

4- I was at that match! When Phillips crossed for Gera it seemed like an age before he hit the back of the net!… then we went mental!! great season!!
I’m looking forward to seeing Gera back, he will do a great job. I don’t think he will play much of a part against The dingles though.
8- Ward may have come up against better wingers than we have to offer this season but our wingers came up against better fullbacks/midfielders/strikers/general dogs body than Stephen Ward in pre season.

The cross-dresser is back !
I’ve had a right game getting on here. Seems to be AOL’s fault in the main, messing with a good program that didn’t need fixing. Where have I heard that before?

SWW,
Hope you have somebody in your box that can jump as well as Gera can, If not “You are in heap big trouble”, As Sitting Bull said to General Cust(ard)er, at the Little Big Horn river.

You would, being a Dingle. But let me tell you something, I’m glad Mick and your wonder Striker Doyler are staying with your club. Right Shadrag?.
