Peter Odemwingie told to ‘chill out’
Tuesday 27th September 2011, 12:30PM BST.
West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has told striker Peter Odemwingie to chill out as he looks to match last season’s 15-goal haul.
The Hawthorns head coach has urged his star forward to relax, as he tries to recapture his best form following an early-season ankle injury.
Odemwingie revealed: “The manager told me to relax. He sees that I think too much, that I should relax and play the game I know how to play.
“Can I score 15 goals again? Of course I can. Last season I missed out about a month through injury with my knee and I hope this will be the only month I miss this time with the ankle.
“I hope I can play the whole season and still get my 15 goals. I am very motivated and the excitement of playing in the Premier League is still there.
“Even though I had a good season I am not still satisfied, hopefully I can build my confidence and get back to good physical condition and start scoring again.”
