Congo call was down to Mulumbu

Roy Hodgson insists West Brom had no influence on Youssouf Mulumbu’s retirement from internationals.
The Baggies midfielder quit the DR Congo set-up this week, claiming the decision was made to help him prolong his club career.
But boss Hodgson revealed he had not discussed the move with Mulumbu and insisted he does not mind his players representing their countries.
“He didn’t discuss it with me,” said Hodgson. “It’s impossible from the outside as a football coach to decide whether he’s done the right thing or the wrong thing.”

After having medical advice etcetera it’s up to a player what course of action to take. At the end of the day a players family must come first.I believe it is to ALBIONs advantage with the route he has taken. Thanks Youssouf.
