Jerome Thomas hails Shane Long

Winger Jerome Thomas today warned Albion’s Premier League rivals that star striker Peter Odemwingie will be even more dangerous after the signing of Shane Long.
Odemwingie took the top-flight by storm last season by bagging 15 goals in his maiden English campaign.
But Thomas believes the arrival of Long, who has scored in each of his first two Baggies outings, will improve Odemwingie still further.
The wide man said: “They are going to be a threat together. What Shane brings is a great workrate and I think that will help Peter get more goals.
“Peter can relax more and get in better positions. You can see that Shane likes to do donkey work, chase down defenders and get into wide areas.
“He is that kind of forward and that will free up the likes of Somen Tchoyi and Peter to get into better goalscoring positions.”
