Albion refute Mulumbu Chelsea link
Friday 1st July 2011, 10:58AM BST.
Albion have laughed off comments suggesting former boss Roberto Di Matteo will try and take Baggies star Youssouf Mulumbu to Chelsea.
Mulumbu’s international boss, Congo’s football director Malu Mpasinkatu, claims the midfielder will now be a priority target for Chelsea, following Di Matteo’s return to Stamford Bridge as first team coach.
Mpasinkatu said: “I know that Di Matteo wants to bring Mulumbu to the club of Roman Abramovich. West Brom are asking €11 million.”
But Albion today insisted Mulumbu remained one of the ‘untouchables’ in Hodgson’s squad and no value had been placed on the player, because he’s not for sale.
