Albion to freeze matchday prices

Albion today confirmed matchday prices for next season’s Premier League campaign will be frozen at previous levels.

The Baggies, with 17,500 season tickets sold but mindful of a recession hitting their supporters in the pocket, will be charging the same as in the club’s two previous top-flight campaigns under Tony Mowbray and last season’s dual Roberto Di Matteo-Roy Hodgson effort.

But Albion have given the category of games a tweak by introducing a new ‘C’ listing for the club’s lowest-demand games.

Once again, however, Albion have ear-marked the visits of Manchester United, Liverpool and Villa as the top-ranking fixtures on their home schedule.

These are followed by a second group of matches featuring the Black Country derby with Wolves and games against Tottenham, Manchester City, Everton, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Arsenal.

But the price range from the most expensive to the least expensive seats for adults, seniors and juniors remains the same as in the club’s previous two top-flight seasons.

And it means nine of Albion’s Premier League games are priced at £29 or less for adults. Admission prices for each category will be the same in all four stands, apart from in the West Stand, where no concessionary prices are available.

The club are still keen to plug season-ticket sales, however, and are reminding supporters that they present the best value to watch Hodgson’s first full season.

Adult supporters who buy a season ticket can make a saving of up to 34 per cent on matchday prices citing adult season tickets in the Birmingham Road End which cost £439 – a save of  £204 on matchday prices.

That amounts to the equivalent of approximately six free games, according to Albion.

The club will be hoping season ticket sales will benefit from further signings and growing anticipation of a successful follow-up to last season’s best-ever performance in the Premier League.

Hope we get Vaughan but not Gera. Would also like to see an offer made for Shane Long and not for any more African players. With the ACN we don’t need the disruptions.

Well according to our ticket category Listing, it proves which is the main local derby, I arrest my case. Also at this time, there’s no such thing as a Black-Country derby in the Premiership.

Thorne’s been called up to the U20′s but he’s not joining up with the squad on the back of ‘club advice’, which implies they either think an U19 tournament & U20 is too much, or they see him as a more permanent fixture in the squad next season.

George Thorne disclosed the withdrawal himself at 9am yesterday on his Twitter, come 2pm there was a story on here saying he’d been called up and still now there’s nothing about the withdrawal on here.

8 The ‘not very real’ Billy-

funny that you’ve gone to Scunnie, because while the Baggies are on the U.S. West Coast having parties with the Beckhams,it appears that Mick has taken the wolves lads to Scunthorpe to do some pre-season training.

He said that the Brazilians learnt to play their football on Rio beach,so he plans to do the same thing with the wolves squad-

that is,take them to a beach where they can learn how to play.

p.s.-it just happens that part of wolves beach stamina training is to run up and down with a team-mate on their back.

Are you sure you took your proper glasses with you? Clean them and have another look………..

8 The ‘still not very real’ Billy-

we were thinking of going in for Mills-

but it’s starting to get too heavy.

There’s this Reading player, who’s locked in a two-way ‘battle of the Giants’ confrontation for his services.

The whole of Europe are glued to their tellys-

    who will it be?

    wolves or Leicester?

    He can’t decide-there’s nothing to seperate them……..

Just announced a hose pipe ban up here in Scunnie.

This old delapidated/corrugated caravan that they have put us in on the camp site is well past its sell-by-date and needs scrapping.
But me and the missus are making the best of it by turning the old rust bucket into familiar things we know and love.

We sleep in what we call the brummie road end and have brekie in the smethwick end.

Have we signed anyone yet ?

This Mills player that Wolves are looking to sign? is it Heather Mills cause im sure she would get straight into the team, even with 1 leg its an improvement on what they have.

11 The ‘nowhere near real’ Billy-

I’m just very surprised the owners have put you in a caravan on a Scunnie camping site, shouldn’t everybody normally be under canvas there?

Anyway,I’ve just been fishing in the worcestershire countryside, and there was a field full of wolves fans in tents next to me.

I asked some of them if they’d prefer a caravan instead of a tent, and they said they’d be uncomfortable with the idea,as they’re not used to 5 Star holiday breaks, they always thought that vans were only for the wealthy.

So I suggested maybe taking a break to another country, and a few said they’d already been to a foreign land.

Apparently, they’d left molineux after a game, accidently took the wrong direction, and ten minutes later realised they’d walked across the welsh border.

And it looks like we’re on the brink of signing Vaughan.
Wolves wanted him,but as soon as the Baggies came in with an offer, they were written out the picture.

And now that Leicester have come in for Mills,I guess wolves will have to drop out that one as well.

I am referring to George Thorne’s advancement to being a regular in ALBION’s squad, not England’s. Sorry if my words misled you.

    Billy,
No, wolves haven’t signed anybody yet. So carry on watching your squad, on the beach in Scunthorpe.

    Billy,
Get up to pace, the one end of the caravan as already been got rid of. The one nearest AZDA.
You Dingles should have a add-on name!, try SLO-MO. See you’ve got rid of another one of Mick’s Expensive failures, some club in France as took him off your hands for a season, unless he gets injured. £2.5m flop.
