Albion freeze season ticket prices

Albion today announced a season ticket price freeze as they look to cash in on the success of their Roy Hodgson revolution.

The Baggies will offer an ‘early bird’ scheme for fans who snap up seats by June 13.

And the club will hope to beat last year’s figure of around 18,000 season ticket sales on the back of a run of just one defeat in eight matches under Hodgson that has all-but guaranteed another top-flight campaign.

Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins said: “We have once again tried to price season tickets as fairly as possible, being very mindful of the current economic climate.

“The team have set all kinds of club records in the Premier League this season and I’m sure all supporters who bought season tickets last summer will say they have had full value for money.

“Considering the fact we have frozen prices and ensured that supporters who take up the early-bird offer are not affected by the VAT increase, we believe our prices are as attractive as possible.

“Season ticket income remains our second biggest revenue stream after media income and our 2011-12 prices compare favourably with other clubs of our size whilst, at the same time, enabling the club to be as competitive as possible.”

The scheme will allow supporters to buy season tickets for next season at this year’s prices.

Existing season ticket holders have until June 1 to renew their current seat but this season’s prices will be available to all fans until June 13.

Adult prices start from £399 with the cheapest prices for concessions and juniors £269 and £129 respectively.

Season ticket holders have until June 1 to guarantee their existing seats and, for the next five days, they will be able to relocate their season ticket.

From June 6 any remaining seats will be available to new applicants until the  ‘early bird’ deadline of June 13.

Post-June 13 prices have not yet been announced.

Season tickets are available from tomorrow at 9am, in person at the East Stand  box office, by phone on 0871 271 9780 and via the club’s online ticketing website.

Existing season ticket holders and new applicants will be issued with a new Stilecard.
