Albion fans travel free to next trip
Tuesday 22nd March 2011, 9:10AM GMT.
Albion supporters have been boosted by the club’s annual free coach trip which will apply for the next away game at Sunderland on April 9.
The club are putting on 40 free coaches to accommodate their 2,000 allocation and already 1,200 places have been snapped up.
The travel scheme has become a lucky omen for Albion who have been undefeated in seven of the 10 away games in which it has operated.
That includes a victory at Sunderland thanks to a Jason Koumas winner and the Great Escape season’s 4-0 win at Charlton which featured a Robert Earnshaw hat-trick.
Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins said: “As a thank you to the fans, who follow the team in their droves all over the country, we are laying on free coach travel for an away game for the ninth successive season.
“The away backing has been absolutely brilliant again this season, not only in terms of quantity but also the quality of support.”
