Jonas Olsson calls for calm at Albion

Albion defender Jonas Olsson has called for calm heads as the Baggies gear up for the final 15 games of their Premier League survival bid.
The Sweden international, who made his Premier League return at Blackburn on Sunday after three months out with an Achilles tendon problem, believes the Baggies must be braced for highs and lows during a race to avoid relegation that, he believes, is heading down to the wire.
He said: “There are so many small margins this season. If we had won on Sunday, everybody would have said we were seven points clear and we could look up.
“But we lost and everybody will say we are in the battle and ask ‘will we make it?’ It is important not to let that get to you.
“Every game is really important and we have to approach it that way, but if you don’t get three points it is important not to get too disappointed.
“Of course you are down for a couple of days but you have to get on with it and try to get something out of the next game, because every point will be vital coming into April and May.”
Starting with next Tuesday’s home meeting with Wigan, Albion face a crucial month which includes games against fellow relegation candidates West Ham, Wolves, Stoke, and Birmingham before they enter a tricky-looking final section of their season.
But Olsson said: “This month could be a chance for the team – in the area we are in now – to get away from it a little bit but I don’t think it’s make or break.”
