James Morrison made right decision

West Brom midfielder James Morrison today insisted he has no regrets over snubbing Bolton as he prepared for a Boxing Day meeting with the Trotters.
The Scotland international will line up for the Baggies on Sunday against the club that made a failed £2m bid for his service two years ago.
And Morrison is adamant he made the right decision by opting to extend his contract at The Hawthorns, ending speculation over a transfer to the Reebok Stadium.
“They put a bid in for me,” said Morrison, who caught Bolton’s eye during Albion’s last Premier League season. “But at the time I was really happy at West Brom and that was the end of it.
“It’s nice that someone recognises that you are playing well, but I was happy here. We got relegated that season and if someone comes in and offers you a better choice it’s going to turn your head.
“But the club re-assured me and that was that.”
West Brom will take on Bolton knowing victory would take their tally to 25 points for the season.
And Morrison is delighted with the club’s best ever Premier League total at Christmas.
“We had a target that we wanted to reach at Christmas and we’ve passed that,” he said.
“If we’re ahead why don’t we just keep on going and see where it gets us.
“We have meetings regularly to show us where we’re at and we’re ahead of where we should be.
“It’s going really well and I think the lads are really enjoying it.
“Every time we step on the pitch we’re fighting for each other which is another reason why I think we’re doing well.”
Morrison is preparing to go head to head with former Hawthorns team mate Paul Robinson, who is in impressive form for Bolton.
And the former Middlesbrough man has promised not to ease up on his friend.
“I owe him one,” joked Morrison. “Last time we played them the ball went up in the air and he could have just stood in there, but he went straight through me.
“So I’ve been telling him that I owe him one. “But that might be a mistake, because you know what he’s like, he likes a good tackle!”
