Albion have fresh injury doubts
Wednesday 24th November 2010, 12:29PM GMT.
James Morrison and Steven Reid today emerged as fresh injury doubts for Albion’s trip to Everton as Chris Brunt began a race to be fit.
Influential winger Brunt remains sidelined from training with the groin injury that kept him out of Saturday’s defeat to Stoke.
He is given no more a 50-50 chance of making the trip to Goodison Park while Morrison (back) and Reid (Achilles) are both being nursed to ensure they can figure on Merseyside.
Boss Roberto Di Matteo said: “Steven Reid, James Morrison and Chris Brunt all missed training yesterday. Brunt was 50-50 today and we’ll see how he progresses this week.
“Morrison fell awkwardly on Saturday and Reidy has an Achilles tendon problem that needs looking after.”
Brunt remains a major doubt with the injury he picked up on international duty with Northern Ireland.
