Somen Tchoyi can get even better
Friday 24th September 2010, 10:30AM BST.
Albion midfielder Somen Tchoyi has insisted he can still get better as he prepared for a possible first Premier League start at Arsenal.
Tchoyi is a candidate to replace the doubtful Jerome Thomas at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow, after a sparkling full debut in the Carling Cup against Manchester City.
But, despite catching the eye of fans on Wednesday, the Cameroon international has insisted he can still show more.
He said: “I will get better and better. I am really pleased with Wednesday but I know how well I can play so it’s nothing new for me.
“I am just waiting my time to come in and show more of what I can do. It is a different style of football to what I was used to in Austria.
‘The biggest difference is the English teams are much better than the Austrian ones.”
Tchoyi insisted the Baggies are capable of pulling off a shock against the in-form Gunners tomorrow.
He said: “Arsenal are a great team, but for all the respect we have for them we just have to play our football.
“If we focus on what we do in training every day then the results will come for us.
“I think we have the same style. We both try to play football and we try to move and do something with the ball.”
