Walsall a perfect fit for ace Simeon Jackson
Simeon Jackson admits he is hungry for more goals after making an impressive start to his Walsall career.
The striker, who has won 47 caps for Canada, has scored five goals in his first 12 games since joining the Saddlers in the summer. Earlier in his career, Jackson enjoyed prolific spells at Rushden & Diamonds, Gillingham and Norwich.
But he found goals harder to come following moves to Coventry, Millwall and Blackburn.
Now though, the 29-year-old feels he is closing in on top form – and believes there are plenty more goals to come.
"I've had a few seasons where things haven't gone so well – but you come through it mentally stronger and hungry to do well," he said.
"I feel good but I still feel I have got a lot more to give.
"It's been a really good start but hopefully I will score a lot more goals.
"It's nice for me to be part of a team that looks to get the ball down and play attacking football.
"From the first day I came in, I got an idea about what the manager is trying to do and I felt straight away I could settle here.
"I see how I fit which is what you need as a player. It's important for me to know I have got a good chance of playing games and scoring goals. That is all you can ask for as I striker."
