Striker Tom Bradshaw and defender James O'Connor are doubts for Walsall ahead of tomorrow's game with Wigan.

O'Connor is struggling to recover from a dead leg which kept him out of last week's 1-1 draw at Crewe.

Bradshaw, the Saddlers top scorer, has seen only limited action in training this week.

Boss Sean O'Driscoll revealed the 23-year-old is suffering from "bumps and bruises" sustained over the course of the season.

O'Driscoll said: "He is the one who gets whacked more than anyone else and he has one or two bumps and bruises. We are wrapping him up in cotton wool.

"It is a balancing act, do you risk somebody? He (Tom) has trained very sparingly all week, he has not trained with the group.

"Tom is desperate to play, as is Jim. But we need him for the rest of the season and if it means resting him for one game to get him back for 13 or 14 others then common sense prevails."
