The Saddlers dominated the opening hour of Saturday's clash, but paid the price for not taking their chances when Lee Gregory netted a brace and Mahlon Romeo scored.

The result means O'Driscoll's side have taken just one point from their last three League One games at the Banks's Stadium. after drawing with Blackpool and losing to Rochdale.

In total, Walsall have lost five league games this season, with four of those coming at home, but O'Driscoll believes it's nothing to be worried about.

The head coach said: "It's only an issue if the media make it an issue – it's one of those things that gets built up into something.

"Rochdale, credit it to them, did a job on us. We should have beaten Blackpool – it was just a last minute free-kick that cost us.

"Millwall, if we had walked in 3-0 up at half-time nobody would have complained. We have to put things into perspective.

"Every five games we are trying to get 10 points. We have got seven out of 12. The previous five games we got 10 points. We are still right on track.

"Millwall are just out of the Championship, with a massive budget compared to ours. People have to keep things in perspective."

O'Driscoll is hopeful Tom Bradshaw will be fit to face Crewe, after the striker came off against Millwall with an ankle knock.

The Saddlers boss said: "Before half-time, he hurt his ankle. He wanted to go out and play but he wasn't moving well. Common sense prevailed and he came off. Hopefully, he will be OK for Crewe."
