Walsall boss Dean Smith is odds-on to become the next manager of Brentford.

Bookies this afternoon made the Saddlers supremo 1/10 to take over at the west London club.

Walsall chiefs have refused to comment on increasingly strong rumours from Brentford, who are understood to have lodged an official approach for Smith.
