Boss Dean Smith insists there will be no complacency from Walsall as they look to extend their unbeaten start to the season at crisis club Blackpool.

The Saddlers head to Bloomfield Road tomorrow to take on the Tangerine men who haven't won a game since January 31.

In stark contrast, the Saddlers are flying high in second place in the table and have also beaten Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Brighton in the Capital One Cup.

Those results have lead to a glamour third-round tie with Premier League champions Chelsea, but Smith insists their early success will not lead to over-confidence.

"Complacency is not a word we use in the dressing room and I think this group has already shown that they aren't going to take anything for granted," Smith said.

"At times this season we have gone into games as underdogs and that will be different at Blackpool.

"But we aren't taking them lightly. We have beaten two Championship teams and that gives the squad confidence.

"But I've got such an honest group. They know they have to give there all at Blackpool."

Smith also had praise for summer recruit Milan Lalkovic who scored a stunning equaliser in Tuesday's night's win over Brighton.

The 22-year-old is now in his second spell with the Saddlers after impressing on loan from Chelsea in the 2013/14 campaign.

But despite netting against the Seagulls, the boss feels Lalkovic is not quite yet up to full speed.

"Milan certainly seems to thrive in the environment we create here," Smith said.

"He has not played an awful lot of football in the last year though, so we have to be careful with him.

"He wants to play all the time and sometimes you have to pull him aside and say you are not playing this one because he is still getting up to speed.

"But he is never a problem. He just loves to play football."
