Video: Blackpool rocks for Walsall in August

Walsall fans will be able to enjoy a trip to Blackpool on the next Bank Holiday weekend after today's fixtures handed them a Bloomfield Road trip.

The Saddlers will be the visitors to the Tangerines, who have just dropped down from the Championship, on Saturday August 29.

They have been handed a home game to kick start the 2015-16 campaign, with Oldham the visitors to the Banks's Stadium, writes Joseph Masi.

The League One season begins on August 8 and will see Dean Smith's men facing the Latics, before three straight away games starting with Nottingham Forest in the Capital One Cup.

Trips to Southend United and Rochdale will then follow, before a local derby against Coventry City on August 22.

While Saddlers fans face a long journey on Boxing Day as they head to the New Den to take on recently relegated Millwall.

Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium will be the furthest journey with Saddlers fans facing a 326 mile round trip to Kent on March 26.

The shortest journey of the new season will be to Shrewsbury on November 14, whose Greenhous Meadow Stadium is 37 miles away from the Banks's.
