Walsall's Paul Downing misses out on League One player of month
Walsall defender Paul Downing has missed out on the League One player of the month award for December.

The centre-back was one of four players nominated after an excellent month but the prize has gone to Brentford's Sam Saunders.
Sheffield United's Jose Baxter and MK Dons' Stephen Gleeson were also in the running.
Saunders' win meant a double triumph for leaders Brentford, who saw Mark Warburton scoop the manager of the month prize.
