Florent Cuvelier keen to make an impact

New-boy Florent Cuvelier today vowed to shine at Walsall after labelling his move “amazing”.
The 19-year-old has penned a month-long loan deal from Stoke and wants to help the Saddlers survive.
Cuvelier, who is yet to make a senior appearance the Potters, stands by to make his Saddlers debut at home to Notts County on Tuesday.
And he said he will give his all to help Walsall, who released Claude Gnakpa yesterday, away from the League One drop zone.
“For me it’s an amazing opportunity. I’m really looking forward to playing games and showing people what I am capable of,” he said.
“There are some good players here and it will be good for me to test my ability at what I expect to be a high level.
“I really want to do well for myself and to help the team. This is a nice place for me to come and develop as a player and I am happy it’s done.”
The Saddlers – 20th in League One before this afternoon’s games – have struggled for spark in midfield and former Portsmouth youngster Cuvelier insisted he can provide the
“I would describe myself as an attacking midfielder,” he said. “I’m a box-to-box player who likes to get on the ball and get forward at every opportunity. If a shooting opportunity opens up I’m not afraid to have a go.
“I’ve played for my country since under-16s and last summer I went to the European Under-19 Championships and was voted into the team of the tournament, which was a great achievement and made me extremely proud.”
Meanwhile, Notts County have signed Jonathan Forte from Southampton on loan until the end of the season.
The striker was on Dean Smith’s watchlist and could face the Saddlers on Tuesday.
