Walsall boss Dean Smith today revealed his Saddlers Sunday summit has revived his men and restored their belief.

He forced his men to talk it out last week after they dropped into the League One relegation zone.

He hauled them in last Sunday after the 4-2 defeat to Bury and the Saddlers have responded with an FA Cup win over Exeter and Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Stevenage.

The battling point convinced Smith the squad are turning the corner and he pointed to his Sunday sermon as the catalyst.

“The Sunday session was needed to get them in and have a chat because you’ve got to believe in what you do,” he said.
