Walsall loanee Mark Wilson wants to extend his stay with the Saddlers
Monday 14th November 2011, 11:00AM GMT.
Walsall loanee Mark Wilson today revealed he is eyeing an extended Saddlers deal – after scoring his first goal for almost three years.
The Doncaster midfielder admitted last month he feared his Rovers future might be over and he wants to stay at the Banks’s Stadium.
Wilson scored the opener in Saturday’s 1-1 FA Cup first round draw at Exeter and, after just three games, hopes to agree a new loan spell.
He said: “My short-term future is here for the next three or four games and I’d like to extend that into January, which is a big month.
“I’m happy here at the moment and I’m really enjoying my football – which I haven’t been able to say for a while.”
The Saddlers will host Exeter in their first round replay on Wednesday, November 23 with the winners travelling to Dagenham or Bath on the first weekend in December.
