Walsall boss Dean Smith issues battle cry for Saddlers’ League One clash

Walsall boss Dean Smith today delivered a battle cry and told the Saddlers to get ready for war.

They host Milton Keynes Dons at the Banks’s Stadium tomorrow with the manager determined to end their autumn slump.

Defeat could leave the 17th-placed Saddlers in the drop zone after one win in 10 League One games and Smith insisted his men must be ready to fight.

He said: “We need to get some wins on the board and it might be a war of attrition tomorrow. We’ve got to stand up and be counted.

“I, for one, don’t believe we’ll struggle as much in the next 15 games. We’ll certainly pick up more points than the first 15.”

Sorry Deano, I really like you as a manager but do you think you will still have a job if we perform as badly in the next 15 games… sorry but I don’t think you will be around in 15 games time the way we are playing.
