Walsall’s Claude Gnakpa aims to hit top gear
Thursday 29th September 2011, 11:26AM BST.
Claude Gnakpa today revealed his frustration at his stuttering Walsall career – but won’t be caught napping on the job.
The winger admitted he is yet to hit top gear since his summer switch from Luton and wants to prove himself in League One.
Gnakpa has been out for three weeks out with a hamstring injury picked up at Notts County on his return after being dropped.
He could feature against Carlisle on Saturday and admitted he is desperate to make a lasting impression after a slow start to the campaign.

Good luck, Claude – I hope you make a big impact. We definitely need some pace and power in the side. My team for Saturday, in a 4-3-3 formation, would be:
Walker; Westlake, Lancashire, Smith, Sadler; Chambers, Taundry, Peterlin; Gnakpa, Macken, Paterson.
Subs: Grof, Beevers, Hurst, Nicholls, Jarvis.

what about giving george bowerman a chance scored two in reserves yesterday

Have to agree with Johnny. The way out front line has been performing (or should I say not preforming) give the lad a go.

Yes, I forgot about Bowerman – definitely worth at least a place on the subs bench. I also forgot about Will Grigg…so my revised subs bench would be:
Grof, Beevers, Hurst, Bowerman, Grigg

Not sure we will see Claude back in starting line up, propbably on bench. Shame, cos in my opinion, we need him back!
Agree with above on Bowerman, cos I am not sure that Grigg and Macken have jelled that well and Deano needs to find a combination that works.
I am surprised Deano hasn’t experimented more whilst Macken was out? I think that when Jarvis popped up with a couple of goals, Deano thought he had signed a gem, but unfortunately the run didn’t continue.
SO WHAT’S THE RIGHT COMBINATION?
Macken, Jarvis, Grigg, Nicholls, Peterlin, Gnapka, Hurst, Bowerman, Paterson…….
Surely we can find a balanced front 2 or 3 front that lot?
