Jimmy Walker admits he is relishing Walsall’s League One relegation fight.
The 37-year-old has put thoughts of retirement on hold until the end of the season and said he loves the thrill of a relegation battle.
He said: “This is why we’re in football. It’s a great game and hopefully we can dig in and get the results.
“We’re going the right way and fingers crossed we can get the results.
“There’s a lot of football to be played between now and the end of the season.
“We’ve got some great games coming up and it’s a going to be a great couple of months.
“Hopefully we can take enough points to achieve our ultimate aim.
“We all know where we are, we’re digging in and we’re working as hard as we can to get out of the bottom four.”
