Irishman Carey only joined Argyle from Scottish outfit Ross County in the close season, yet is only tied to one-year terms at Home Park.

WEST BROM

West Brom have joined an ever-growing race to tempt Spain striker Nolito away from his homeland, with a host of Premier League clubs interested.

The 29-year-old has been in great form for surprise package Celta Vigo this season, with six goals and three assists from just eight games.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Stoke City have all watched him, while Barcelona are also reportedly interested.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are back in talks with former Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor as the free agent ponders his options in January.

The Togo international, still just 31, and has been released by Spurs, who nearly loaned him to Villa before the move fell through.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood is keen on a reunion having worked with him at White Hart Lane, but Turkish giants Galatasaray are also keen.
