We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are considering bringing another goalkeeper into the club in light of recent events, with Sunderland shot-stopper Vito Mannone an option.

The 27-year-old is unhappy at the Stadium of Light after losing his place to Costel Pantilimon, after Dick Advocaat replaced Gus Poyet as boss in March.

The Italian custodian is also wanted by Wolves' Championship rivals Middlesbrough and Hull City, who want competition for first-choices Dimi Konstantopoulos and Allan McGregor respectively.

Wolves have alternated the jersey between Carl Ikeme - perennially considered No 1 - and Arsenal loanee Emiliano Martinez in recent games.

WEST BROM

West Brom could turn to Denmark defender Erik Sviatchenko if a move for Manchester United centre-half Jonny Evans fails to materialise.

The 23-year-old, who is with champions Midtjylland in his homeland, is interesting a host of clubs in England and Scottish champions Celtic.

Albion, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Everton are all keen, while Championship side Brentford are also in with a shout of attracting him.

Bees supremo Matthew Benham also owns Midtjylland, but Sviatchenko would prefer a move to the Premier League if he comes to this country.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are still in the hunt for attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic, who has fallen down the pecking order at Italian side Roma.

The Serbia international, who has been previously linked to Manchester United and Tottenham, has seen his first-team limited by the arrival of Edin Dzeko from Manchester City.

The 23-year-old could be allowed to leave with his name stature falling, with Roma looking to recoup the £8million they paid Fiorentina in 2013.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
