Transfer Rumours - March 5
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Wolves are checking on the availability of Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, who has lost his place to Esteban Cambiasso at the Premier League Foxes.
The 24-year-old has significant Championship experience, having been a big part of the side that won promotion to the top-flight last season.
His arrival would pave the way for the temporary departure of Wolves' Michael Jacobs, who is likely to head to Tony Mowbray's Coventry City.
WEST BROM
Premier League rivals Liverpool and Tottenham Hostpur will ramp up their interest in West Brom striker Saido Berahino come the summer.
Albion are pulling away from Premier League danger with Berahino returning to form in a Baggies shirt, but that has not deterred his suitors.
He's high on a list of forwards considered by both the Reds and Spurs, who will be looking to bolster their firepower when the campaign is done.
ASTON VILLA
Another forward joining Berahino in Liverpool and Tottenham's sights is Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, despite his struggles in front of goal.
The Belgium international has just four strikes to his name this season, but was touted as a £25million player just a couple of years ago. He would cost significantly less now.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
