The Baggies have been linked with a summer move for Bolton defender Tim Ream.
Albion scouts reportedly watched the US international in Bolton's 2-1 win at Doncaster last night.
Ream spent a week training with Albion in 2011 before making a move to the Reebok Stadium.
Villa:
Nathan Delfouneso has been told he has four weeks to resurrect his career by Coventry boss Steven Pressley.
The Villa striker is on loan at the Sky Blues and is out of contract at the claret and blues at the end of the season.
