Former Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland will not make his return to Villa Park with new club Stoke City. Due to a clause in his contract, Ireland cannot feature against Villa until next season. Ireland joined Stoke on a free transfer in January after initially joining on loan back in August.
Albion
Reports suggest West Brom scouts were in Portugal, scouting Sporting Lisbon's English defender Eric Dier, 19.
