Report: Cradley 52 Mildenhall 38

Cradley Heathens climbed up to second in the National League table with a convincing 52-38 home win over arch-rivals Mildenhall.

The rivalry between the two clubs was reignited last month when the Heathens' trip to West Row was postponed following a dispute over the visitors' team line-up.

However, team boss Will Pottinger's side ensured they gained on-track bragging rights with a strong all-round team display.

Morris equalled his National League track record in the opening race – and the Heathens never looked back as they gradually edged clear, thanks to another determined performance from Bradley Andrews.

The New Zealand-born youngster had a hectic evening with seven rides – but he was involved in their first four heat advantages.

Morris and Clegg were largely untroubled, both comfortably going unbeaten. Richard Andrews continued his impressive start to life with the Heathens to bag double figures.

Cradley top gun Morris has agreed a one-month deal with Premier League Peterborough.

Subject to BSPA ratification, the 22-year-old from Penkridge will slot in for injury victim Simon Lambert and starts tonight at home to Scunthorpe.
