The victory meant the Parrys International Wolves extended their unbeaten home run to six meetings in another entertaining encounter at Monmore Green.

Back-to-back shared heats got the meeting under way, with Wolves skipper Freddie Lindgren taking the win from the gate in heat one.

Belle Vue gated on a 5-1 in the second, before Wolves' reserve duo Max Clegg and Kyle Howarth came underneath former Wolf Joe Jacobs to rescue a 3-3.

A home side 4-2 led by Joonas Kylmakorpi edged the hosts into the lead before a controversial heat four saw two finishers only.

The original staging saw Sam Masters lose control and force Belle Vue reserve Richie Worrall to come down – but fortune was on Wolves' side and Worrall was disqualified.

The rerun saw Howarth excluded for wiping out Belle Vue captain Scott Nicholls before Masters got the better of him in the third run.

Heat five saw teenager Clegg pick up his first home race win of the season with one of the individual rides of 2016.

Four shared heats would follow before Jacob Thorssell claimed his first race win of the night thanks to a lightning start from gate two to move the hosts seven points in front.

A stunning ride from Lindgren saw him plug away at Belle Vue's Craig Cook before making an intelligent switchback up the inside on the run to the line.

That would be the hosts final race win of the night though as Belle Vue chipped away at the Wolves to snatch a late consolation league point.

Wolves now face a break of almost two weeks, before back-to-back meetings against Midland rivals Leicester Lions.
