Heavy overnight rain, coupled with a forecast of more coming in later, made the decision straight forward.

And the club paid tribute to stadium owners Ladbrokes, the Rye House management and Wolverhampton staff who have made it possible to go ahead tonight (7.30pm).

Club director Nigel Pearson said: "There is a better forecast for Tuesday so we are going ahead then, we hope it doesn't inconvenience too many people.

"This way it also keeps the lads on track rather than going three or four weeks without a meeting."
