The Polish star, new to the team this season, has been superb on track.

But the 19-year-old has missed a number of club matches – a common problem with Polish riders who are frequently under intense pressure from their home federation – and Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten declared today: "Enough is enough."

Pawlicki pulled out of tonight's Monmore Green Elite League clash with Leicester this morning – the club received a number of messages saying why he would be missing -- and it proved the last straw for Van Straaten.

"Enough is enough," he said. "It's just not fair on the team, the promotion and most importantly the supporters.

"It's with a heavy heart we have made this decision, it cannot be allowed to go on and it's probably because he is such a wonderful talent on a speedway bike that we have allowed it to go on this long.

"We haven't seen him since August 4 in Wolverhampton colours and we will now use the rider-replacement facility."

Leicester will also use rider-replacement tonight, having lost Jason Doyle to a shoulder injury.
