Wolverhampton put in a fine team display to ensure they made it three wins out of three with a comprehensive 61-32 triumph over the Eastbourne Eagles at Monmore Green.

Having avoided the forecast rain, Wolves put in a rampant showing in front of a bumper Bank Holiday crowd to continue their encouraging run of form.

A spectacular crash on the opening bend of heat one caused a lengthy delay, yet when the action finally got under way the home side certainly did not disappoint.

Peter Adams' men ran no last places and accounted for 11 race wins.

They got off to a perfect start as Jacob Thorssell and Tai Woffinden both hunted down Bjarne Pedersen to claim a 5-1 in the opening race.

Their evening got even better as they recorded three more heat advantages in the next three outings – the pick of which came as Piotr Pawlicki claimed a stunning heat three win having dived between both Eastbourne riders

Despite the visitors gaining a brief glimmer of hope as skipper Cameron Woodward held on for a tactical ride win in heat seven, Wolves soon found top gear once again.

Back to back 5-1s put the hosts firmly in control – and when Piotr Pawlicki nullified the second Eagles tactical ride with a classy win the contest was all but over.

However, Wolves were relentless in their assault – opening up a 29-point advantage by the time the meeting drew to a close.

Woffinden continued his upturn in form to lead the side in spectacular fashion – dropping his only point to Joonas Kylmakorpi in heat five.

Wolverhampton: Tai Woffinden 12+2, Piotr Pawlicki 12+1, Ty Proctor 9+1, Jacob Thorssell 9, Ashley Morris 8+2, Ricky Wells 6+1, Josh Bates 5+1.

Eastbourne: Cameron Woodward 11, Joonas Kylmakorpi 7, Timo Lahti 5, Mikkel Michelsen 5, Daniel Halsey 2, Bjarne Pedersen 1, Max Clegg 1.
