Dolan is known as 'The History Maker' after becoming the first player to hit a nine-darter in the World Grand Prix in 2011.

He's one of a number of star names for the Carlsberg Masters at the Cleveland Arms on Thursday July 17.

The night will be a perfect warm-up for the PDC World Matchplay at Blackpool, when Dolan faces Welsh legend Richie Burnett the following Sunday.

Northern Irish ace Dolan, a popular figure on the PDC circuit, will be joined by Belgian sensation Kim Huybrechts and BDO stars Tony O'Shea and Gary Robson at the Stowheath Lane venue.

Dolan said: "I'm looking forward to coming to Wolverhampton, they get great crowds there for the Grand Slam in November and I know the Cleveland Arms has a loyal following for their exhibitions.

"For me, it will be the perfect way to relax and prepare for Blackpool at the same time – it should be a great night and it's a great line-up.

"I'm looking forward to meeting up with Kim, Gary and Tony and I'm sure we will have a great night.

"Richie will be a tough opponent at Blackpool, any time you face him you know you're in for a real scrap. If I can get through that game I know I will have earned the win!"

Tickets for the Carlsberg Masters, priced £10, are available from the Cleveland Arms on 01902 451021 or online at clevelandarms.com through their online shop.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Darts star Wayne Jones is on the lookout for help in his World Matchplay bid.

Jones, nicknamed 'The Wanderer', faces a bruising battle with former Premier League ace Andy Hamilton at the Winter Gardens in the same session as Dolan's clash with Burnett.

Potential sponsors who can help with travel and accommodation expenses, in return for exposure on his playing shirt live on Sky Sports, should call Will on 01902 451021.
