Rain saves the day for West Bromwich Dartmouth

West Bromwich Dartmouth were saved by the rain in their Birmingham League Premier Division top-of-the table clash with Berkswell.

Dartmouth were shot out for 117, with Dan Bassett (34) and Basit Zaman (33) their best contributors.

In reply, Berkswell were 80 without loss from 18.2 overs when the rain stopped play.

Walsall (78 all out) were crushed by 147 runs by champions Shrewsbury (225-8).

Bottom club Himley came away from a rain-affected match at Barnt Green with a losing draw. Tom Kohler-Cadmore hit 65 in Himley's total of 171-9.

In reply, Barnt Green were faced with a target of 110 for a winning draw and cruised to 120-5.

Kidderminster's match against Dorridge was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Smethwick joined Ombersley at the top of Division One following a 36-run win over Harborne. Thomas Butt (57 not out) helped Smethwick to to 175-8. Naqaash Tahir claimed 4-27 and Shakeel Janjua 3-43 as Harborne fell for 139.

Wolverhampton (264-5) claimed a winning draw against Wellington (198-7) in a game reduced to 47 overs. Former Indian Test player Wasim Jaffer scored 129 for Wolves.

Old Hill's match with Moseley was washed out.

In Division Two, Stourbridge's game against Whitchurch was halted after 24 overs with the visitors on 89-3.

That allowed Penkridge (201 all out) to take advantage following a narrow seven-run win over Attock (194) to go second.

Rana Hassan hit 75 for Penkridge and Muhammad Murad took 4-21.

Halesowen (131-9) hung on for a draw against Brewood who were dismissed for 186 with Halesowen skipper Faisal Shahid taking 6-65.

Hawkins C & R (151 all out) crashed to their second successive defeat at Bridgnorth in Division Three.

Fordhouses (172-7) had a losing draw against Stratford (220-9), spinner Surinder Sharma taking 5-53.

Milford Hall beat Kings Heath (189) by three wickets thanks to Dan Betty (60) and Harry Flowers (50).

Penn (178-9) won for the first time this season, beating Quatt by two wickets with two balls left.
