Joshua seized the belt on Saturday night by putting down defending titlist Charles Martin twice for a second round stoppage in front of millions of viewers.

Sky Sports Box Office purchasers watched on live along with a capacity crowd at the 02 Arena in London, writes Craig Birch.

Joshua's crowning glory not only added to Britain's double-figure list of global rulers, but also extended his perfect record as a professional to 16 wins from 16, with 16 TKOs.

The 2012 Olympic gold medalist is being vaunted as having the potential to become the best heavyweight fighter our shores has ever produced.

And he'll be making his return to Scott Murray's Premier Suite at Bar Sport, in Cannock town centre, on Wednesday April 27.

Joshua's first after-dinner speaking engagement came at the same venue last September and he proved a huge hit.

The affable 26-year-old has much more to talk about now, having added a seventh round stoppage of hated rival Dillian Whyte and the crowning glory against Martin to his paid ledger.

The last time the Londoner visited, it came just 12 days after he had destroyed Gary Cornish inside a round to become the new Commonwealth champion.

Tickets are on sale now for the event, by calling Bar Sport on 01543 572 092. Prices start at £75, including a three-course meal, for a 'Platinum' pass.

'Silver' is £150, with seating closer to the top table and including a photograph. 'Gold' is £299, with access to a meet and greet in the VIP area with Joshua beforehand and priority seating.
