The Birmingham super featherweight, who has won all four of his paid outings to date, is set to become a father for the second time.

But his girlfriend Melissa due to give birth just 24 hours after his next bout tomorrow night, at the Chase Leisure Centre in Cannock.

Davis joked: "We're cutting it fine! I've told her not to come and watch the fight because the excitement may be too much for her. I don't want her giving birth in the ring!

"We already have a little girl, Caitlyn Rose, who is two so it's great to be having a little lad. We are going to call him Charlie. "

The 25 year-old will take on Janis Puskins and 'Showtime' insists he will be fully-focused on the fight with his Latvian opponent, adding: "Training has gone very well."

Stafford's undefeated Grant Cunningham tops the bill as he takes on Damon Jones in an English middleweight title eliminator.

Walsall's Luke Paddock makes a maiden defence of his Midlands Area light-welterweight title when he takes on Newark's Fergus Taylor.

Stafford's Rob Hunt faces Melksham's Liam Richards for a British Bronze Masters welterweight title.

Stourbridge light middleweight Steven Pearce, Leeds welterweight Stevi Mennell, Stoke light-welterweight Josh McLaren, and Birmingham debutant Waqas Mohammed complete the card.

Tickets are still available, priced at £30 and £60 ringside. For more information, call 01543 504 065.
