Tipton's Glover will top the bill as he contests the vacant British Masters Bronze featherweight title with Chris Adaway in the main event,

writes Craig Birch.

Halesowen's Clarke will be looking to smash through Jamie Ambler in their six-round super middleweight bout, after stopping Raimonds Sniedze in 14 seconds last month.

They are in action on the same night as the much-anticipated heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora next Saturday.

The Walsall card will finish in plenty of time for spectators to go and watch the battle of the Brits on television, with fans invited to the Pitch Sports Bar & Grill on Bridge Street.

Tickets to the Town Hall gain free entry into the after-show party around the corner, where the fight will be screened live on giant screens.

Glover will be looking to toast a job well done against replacement Adaway, who races into battling for a belt just over a month after his pro debut.

The 21-year-old from Plymouth has a wealth of amateur experience, though, having reached the old senior ABA semi-finals and boxing for England on two occasions.

Former British, Commonwealth and European super bantamweight champion Esham Pickering was forced to pull out of facing Glover, after picking up a thigh injury.

But 'the Tipton Slasher' is still expecting a test next weekend, who sparred with WBA world champion Scott Quigg when he was still expecting to face Pickering.

Glover said: "I'm feeling fit and strong. I don't know too much about Adaway but there's no-one who I fear, especially at nine stone.

"I have took a lot of confidence from sparring a world-level operator in Scott Quigg and I'll be putting on a show.

"I love boxing at Walsall Town Hall. It's a home from home for me."

Clarke's last contest was over nearly in the blink of an eye in Gloucester but the former white collar boxer, an increasingly-feared puncher, admits he could do with going the distance.

He said: "I feel like I'm getting better with each fight. I'm getting fitter and stronger all the time.

"I've been able to get my last two opponents out early which is good but, at the same time, I'd like a few more rounds to hone my craft.

"It becomes harder to match me, so I'm pleased to have been able to get a fight in before the end of the year. If I can go out with a bang, on a hat-trick of KOs, then great.

"Jamie is an awkward fighter with loads of experience. He'll try and tie me up and frustrate me, but that's the kind of experience I need.

"He's crafty and he tries to nick the rounds late on. I want to make a statement, though, and sign off 2014 with a win."

Home-town hero Martin Gethin, the former British lightweight champion, will also join supporters for a guest appearance.

Tickets, priced at £30 and £50 ringside, are available from the Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900. The title fight weigh-in will also be at the Pitch.
