Coseley's Ryan Corrigan reckons he's back on track as he targets another victory against late replacement Ryan Hanson at the Venue in Dudley.

The 23-year-old super featherweight competes alongside his Priory Park stable-mates on a home show, for the second contest in succession,

writes Craig Birch.

The punching plasterer got back to winning ways with the decision over Harvey Hemsley in June, banishing the memory of his Irish nightmare three months previously.

Corrigan took a fight at late notice to face Mark Morris in Dublin and was blasted out in a round, after giving up a significant amount of weight.

It put the first blip on his pro ledger but he can move to four wins from five if he can see off Hanson, who is still looking to get off the mark after two defeats.

Revitalised - Ryan Corrigan is hoping to make it back-to-back wins at the Venue.

Corrigan said: "I feel like I got back on track last time, a few more like that and people will hardly remember that night in Ireland.

"I shouldn't really have got in there, the lad was far heavier than me but I wanted to fight after coming all of that way.

"That's boxing, it happens and you have to move on. I don't really pay any attention to my opponents, I just try and focus on what I am good at.

"I feel sharp, counter punching and movement is my strength and I have a plan worked out for every time I get in there.

"I was supposed to be boxing Aaron Flinn, I didn't know much about him and I know even less about Ryan. I want my focus to be on me and what I do."
