Coseley's Jamie Ball has been ordered by the British Boxing Board of Control to fight Nasser Al Harbi again.
Coseley's Jamie Ball has been ordered by the British Boxing Board of Control to meet Nasser Al Harbi in a rematch to decide who will fight for the English title.
A second eliminator for the light middleweight crown has been put out to purse bids and match-maker Errol Johnson is expected to make an offer to stage the fight.
With a show planned for November 30 at Wolverhampton Civic Hall where Ball was already due to box, Al Harbi and the fight stipulation would be main event material.
The two first clashed in March at the New Bingley Hall in March with the bout declared a no-contest after four rounds, after Al Harbi picked up a cut above the right eye.
English champion Erick Ochieng, after declaring his intention to vacate the belt, is now keeping hold of his crown and either Ball or Al Harbi could be his next opponent.
Ball said: "It's great news and it's the best thing that could happen, because the first outcome was no good to either of us. I want to put it right.
"I imagine Nasser will feel the same way and I can't see him having much of a problem coming to Wolverhampton to box.
"He's a fighter, a good kid with great skills and I preferably would have liked another fight before I faced him again.
"I will be a bit rusty, but that's life and I have to get on with it. If I pull out, it will put me to the back of the queue.
"I have to take this fight if it comes along."
The finish of their first fight was hotly disputed, with Ball claiming a punch caused the wound but referee Terry O'Connor believed otherwise.
As the man in the middle ruled it was from an accidental clash of heads, the fight was ruled a technical draw.
Ball said: "It was disappointing for both of us, we both trained really hard because we wanted to step up to the next level.
"It defenitely helps that we know what each other are about now but one fight is never the same as the other.
"It was turning into a good fight, I was more than likely losing after the early rounds but I was just getting into it.
"You can't really judge us on that fight but I know for a fact that I caught him with a punch when he got cut."
